Day 1. Arrive in Ulaanbaatar Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, a capital of Mongolia and check in hotel. After lunch, visit to the Bogd Khaan Palace which is one of the oldest exhibits in Mongolia and Natural History Museum. Dinner at a local restaurant and return to the hotel (L, D) |

Day 2. Ulaanbaatar-Hustai Nuruu National Park Arrive in Ulaanbaatar and drive to the Hustai Nuruu National Park to see Przewalskii’s Wild horse and bird watching. Nesting Amur falcon, Hobby, Saker falcon, Black Stork, Black Vulture, Darian Redstart, Isabelline Shrike, Daurian Jackdow… Overnight in ger camp. (B, L, D). |

Day 3. Hustai NP-Borogchin Lake Drive to the west and reach to the Borogchin lake. We will see Saker Falcon, Steppe Eagle, Upland Buzzards and big colony of House Martin and Barn Swallow. Breeding Bar-headed Goose, Whooper Swan, Grey-lag Goose, Ducks and Waders listed in MOSBWT06. Also we can see Asian Dowitcher pairs. Avocets, Black-winged Stilt, Marsh Harriers… Overnight in tents (Camp B; camp L; camp D).

Day 4-5. Ugii lake Drive west to the Ugii lake. Western part of the lake just after arrive. Birdwatching east, south east of the lake. Overnight in tents near the lake. Next morning we will move less than 5 km to west of the lake. Fresh water fresh fish dishes. Loon, Swan Goose, Bar headed Goose, Common and White-naped Crane, Demoiselle Crane, Ducks and Waders listed in MOSBWT06, Pallas’ Fish Eagle and White-tailed Eagle. Overnight in tent. (B; L; D).

Day 6. Harkhorin and Erdenezuu Monastery Drive to south west and visit to Harhorin (Karkorum) and Erdenezuu monastery which is 13 th century imperial capital of Mongol Empire. Erdenezuu monastery was built in 1586. Steppe raptors, river valley birds. Overnight in tent. (Camp B; camp L; camp D).

Day 7. Harhorin –Tsetserleg-Horgo uul Drive to north west and visit to mountain volcanic. Forest steppe birds and mountain steppe birds. Visit to nomadic families. Overnight in the tent (Camp B; camp L; camp D). |

Day 8. Horgo uul-Tehiin Tsagaan lake Drive to north west and reach to Terhiin Tsagaan lake. One of the wonderful habitat for waterfowl and waders. Birds listed in the MOSBWT06. Bird watching around lake. Overnight in the tent (Camp B; camp L; camp D). |

Day 9. Terhiin Tsagaan-Ider gol Drive to north and overnight on the way to Sangiin dalai lake. Camp in Ider river. Mountain steppe birds including Steppe Eagle, Saker Falcon, Golden Eagle, Demoiselle Crane, Isabelline Wheatear, Horned Lark, Mongolian Lark and forest steppe birds. Overnight in tent. (Camp B; camp L; camp D). |

Day 10. Ider gol-Sangiin dalai lake Birdwatching around lake. Ducks, Swans, waders and other birds listed in MOS BWT 06. Overnight in the tent. (Camp B; camp L; camp D).

Day 11. Murun-Hatgal (Huvsgul lake) We will drive to the lake. We will see forest, forest steppe birds and waterfowls and few waders. This is one of the biggest freshwater lake of Mongolia. We will see Black throated Loon, Merganser, Cormorants, Herring Gull and other forest steppe birds. Overnight in ger camps (Camp B; camp L; camp D).

Day 12. Murun-Hatgal (Huvsgul lake) We will move few kms and stay other side of the lake. We can see Osprey, Goshawk and other forest and forest steppe birds. Overnight in tent (B; L; D).

Day 13. Hatgal-Erhel lake We will drive down to the lake and overnight around lake. Waterfowls and waders. See MOSBWT06. Overnight in tent (Camp B; camp L; camp D).

Day 14. Erhel-Selenge river Drive to down to Selenge river and camp near the river. River valley birds including Tits, Asian brown Flycatcher, Pallas’s Reed Bunting and others. Visit to local family. Overnight in tent (Camp B; camp L; camp D).

Day 15. Selenge-Uran togoo uul We will reach to the protected area “Uran togoo”. Forest steppe and mountain steppe birds. Breeding Saker falcons, Upland Buzzards on pylons and poles. Blyth’s and Richard’s Pipits, Daurian Jackdaw, other passerines. Overnight in tent (Camp B; camp L; camp D). |

Day 16. Uran togoo uul-Amarbayasgalan We will drive Amarbayasgalan , which is a second big Buddhist monastery. Birdwatching around the monastery. Overnight in tent (Camp B; camp L; camp D). |

Day 17. Amarbayasgalan monastery-Yuruu river We will drive to the freshwater river and important breeding ground of Amur falcon in north Mongolia. Birds such as breeding Hobby, Amur falcon, Black Kite, Upland Buzzard, and Tree Sparrows, Brown Flycatcher, Tits… Overnight in tent (Camp B; camp L; camp D).

Day 18. Yuruu river-Ulaanbaatar-Terelj NP We will drive to Terelj National Park through Ulaanbaatar. Forest and forest steppe birds: Black Stork, Steppe Eagle, Goshawk, Black Vulture, Black-billed or Spotted Capercaillie (very rare), Oriental Cuckoo, Hoopoe, Great spotted Woodpecker, Black Woodpecker, Great Tits, Willow Tit, Azure winged Magpie. Overnight in tent (Camp B; camp L; camp D).

Day 19. Drive to back to Ulaanbaatar. Visit to Gandan monastery. Shopping, city tour and ending party of the trip. (D).
