Academician O.SHAGDARSUREN. He finished his doctor thesis on "Biology, ecology of birds of prey in Mongolia" in Russia. In 1984, he wrote "Raptors of Mongolia" brochure and described  aspects of taxonomy, biology and ecology  of all species of raptors in Mongolia. His ideas, recommendations, conclusions and 30 years bird research experience are invaluable and realistic to get successful results for the Laboratory members. He has led many domestic and International ornithological projects since 1970 and supervised bachelor, master and PhD  thesis at the University in Mongolia.

Prof. D.SUMIYA. More than 20 years experience to study birds of Khuvsgul Nuur with Russian colleagues. His famous monograph is the "Birds of Kuvsgul lake and its surrounding territories". His academic level can be shown by number of bachelor and master thesis linked to   Thesis of Bh, MSc and PhD.   He is one of the founders of the Ornithological Laboratory at the NUM and worked at the University more than 30 years. The main topic of his bird research is ecology of Gulls and rare bird conservation in Mongolia. Recent years, he is working on breeding biology and conservation of steppe raptors with Gomboo. Prof. Sumiya is a famous lecturer of the Ornithology in Mongolia  and has been training new generations of Mongolian ornithologists for 40 years. Published scientific papers in Mongolian, Russian, and German are under the translation into English. You can see his co-authors publications from Gomboo's publication list.

Dr. Eugene R.POTAPOV. Since 1998, he has worked on breeding biology, ecology and migration of Saker falcons in the  Mongolian steppe with Gomboo and his colleagues. He used to work as a coordinator of the Saker falcon project in Mongolia. They traveled more than 100 000 km over Mongolia  together. They have  very good personal friendship and scientific colleague for raptor research and conservation in the country. He is one of foreign members of the  Society. They published several papers on Saker falcon in the newsletter, bulletin  and journals in Mongolian and English. If you want to get detail information about his research in Mongolia you will send mail to  E-mail: eugene_potapov@gmail.com.

UTE BRADTER, MSc. On the photo: Ute, Uuganbayar and Gomboo during White- naped crane survey in Ulz river. August, 2000. Ornithologist from Germany. She started new project in Mongolia in 1999 with Gomboo and his colleagues. They studied habitat use, breeding ecology and disturbance factors of the  White-naped crane in the Ulz river valley, North Eastern Mongolia in 1999-2002. They are excellent friends for personal and scientific levels. Two scientific paper were published in the journal and a abstract of the proceeding of Biodiversity of Mongolia International Conference held in Ulaanbaatar in 2002. She and her colleagues donated several scopes, binoculars, and other equipments which are very important for education, training and research of birds of the Laboratory and Society. Our members has been using these equipments in the field surveys. She also trained Mongolian young ornithologists for collecting and analyzing data during the field trips. With her good coordination, scientific data on Mongolian rare species of crane were obtained and analyzed. We are very appreciated her help and hard work of the field trip for crane conservation and training. Detail information available to     E-mail: verandering@gmx.de
